A Big Thank you
14/07/2023
I would like to say a big thank you for all the kind get well messages, cards, and words of encouragement. It means a lot at this time. I will have to take it a bit easy for 6 weeks, no driving for a month, and no drinking for two weeks. It is only right that a change in eating and drinking is called for, sensible changes here and there (I have a bottle of non-alcoholic wine for tonight). But next week it will be a slow progress back to working. Not overdoing it. Fortunately my work is not strenuous. I sit at my bench scraping and filing little cars. A change in mental attitude as well, do not get stressed about things, but work we must, model cars are our livelyhood and source of income. So all sympathy orders are much appreciated, hint hint.
Here is a couple of things to consider, first I had no chest pains but my lower jaw really ached and I did feel a tightness across my chest, and by 3am last friday morning I knew something was not right. So I got Joe to drive me to AnE, fortunately this took 10 minutes (ambulance would have been at least a 40 minute wait). Walked in and seen in ten minutes, not bad. Then was transfered to the Essex CTC at Basildon, which is one of the best in the country. That was great fun in the ambulance, blue lights flashing and siren going, swerving in and out of traffic and seen too straight away.
One thing I noticed while I was in there though, I was the slimmest bloke in there. I am 5'10'' and 13 stone. Every other chap in there was roughly the same height as me but all about 18 stone. I felt skinny by comparison. I do hope they lose a bit of weight because they were a great bunch of chaps and the banter was a great morale booster.
We have a bit of catching up to do but do not be afraid to email updates and once again thank you for all the kind words.
As a note: We will not be taking on any more Painted or RTR orders for the foreseeable so we can adjust our work load.
